The statue of Preah Thong Neang Neak is Cambodia’s biggest copper monument that depicts the co-legendary founder of the Funan Kingdom. Legend has it that Preah Thong fell in love with Neang Neak at first sight when he saw her dancing on the beach with other Naga women. This led to their marriage where Preah Thong held the train of her bridal gown. They are considered the symbolic source of Khmer culture, civilization, traditions, and customs. Furthermore, this statue is installed on the Preah Thong-Neang Neak Traffic roundabout, which is 99m in diameter, facing Ream Beach-said to be where the legendary tale takes place.
